Fans are fearful for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here, after Wales threaten to close their borders.
The popular ITV series will be filmed in Gwrych Castle in Conwy later this year, instead of the show’s usual location of the Australian jungle – in order to restrict travel amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The series is expected to begin next month, with Ant and Dec recently sharing a teaser clip for the show – but COVID-19 has posed a new threat for the show’s return.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford told Boris Johnson that he will ban people living in COVID-19 hotspots in England from crossing the border from Friday, in a bid to tackle the growing case numbers.
The news comes just days after Ant and Dec shared a first look at them arriving to the hit show’s new location.
They wrote: “G’day Australia 
#ImACeleb, coming soon to @itv.”
In the clip, the pair expressed their confusion at the new location – still jokingly convincing themselves that they were Down Under in Australia.
Former Strictly star AJ Pritchard is the first celeb reportedly confirmed for the popular show.
A source close to the dancer told the MailOnline: “AJ is really excited – he can’t wait to get going and for the show to start.
“It was always his aim to do more TV work after leaving Strictly and there’s no bigger challenge than I’m A Celeb.”
“He’s an early riser, into his fitness and a dedicated person – he hopes being part of camp will give viewers the chance to get to know him better.
“The only downside is he won’t be taking part with brother Curtis, who he’s really enjoyed working with since lockdown.”
AJ’s brother Curtis rose to fame after appearing in Love Island in 2019, where he met his ex-girlfriend Maura Higgins.
Boyzone star Keith Duffy is also hotly tipped to appear on the show, after BoyleSports noticed a huge influx of bets being placed on him.
