Everything we know about Love Island 2021’s first confirmed male contestant

Aaron Francis has been confirmed as the first male contestant for Love Island 2021.

The 24-year-old is a luxury events host, who worked at Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s weddings.

Speaking about why he signed up for the show, Aaron said: “I’ve been single for about six or seven months and the dating world at the moment is a little bit off.”

“Everyone’s wearing masks. You can’t really see anyone which makes dating a lot harder. I do prefer relationships than dating.”

Opening up about his ideal partner, Aaron added: “I need someone that is passionate about what they are doing – from scientist to anything – you can tell when someone is speaking about something and they are actually smiling while they are talking.”

“I love that. I don’t like when people are doing a job just to make money and then they kind of just live for the weekend. Especially because I work on the weekends.”

The new season of Love Island will kick off on June 28, and it will be filmed at its usual location in Mallorca for a period of eight weeks.

Laura Whitmore is returning as host, alongside her husband Iain Stirling – who is the show’s voiceover artist.
