The quarter finals of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing took place on Friday night.
The couples took to the dancefloor in a bid to impress the judges during Musical Week.
There are only six remaining contestants in the 2022 series: Helen Skelton, Hamza Yassin, Fleur East, Will Mellor, Molly Rainford and Kym Marsh.
Fans were more than impressed with the performances during musical week; but one couple in particular stood out – Helen and her pro partner Gorka Marquez.
The pair danced their Couple’s Choice to Mein Herr from the musical Cabaret, and viewers were blown away by Gorka’s choreography, and Helen’s subtle dig at her ex Richie Myler.
One Twitter user wrote: “No I’m not gonna start talking about helen skelton We all know what she’s been through this year She couldve done a vt dragging him, or airing what she was feeling about it but instead she has gained confidence and power and delivered THAT routine #strictly.”
A second said: “That dance right there was the moment Helen Skelton found herself again, she absolutely f**king smashed it,” and a third wrote: “Gobsmacked by Helen in that, what a performance! And fair dos to Gorka for putting her front and centre like that #Strictly.”
