Joe-Warren Plant has been confirmed as the latest celebrity to join the upcoming season of Dancing On Ice.
The actor, best known for his role as Jacob Gallagher in Emmerdale, was announced as the second famous face to join the ice-skating competition.
Announcing the news on Instagram, Dancing On Ice wrote: “He’s spent a decade in the Dales, so now it’s time to try out the ice!”
“Better get your skates on @joeplant10,” they added.
Joe said of the news: “I’m so excited to learn something new. I’m in it to win it, 100%!”
On Monday, Myleene Klass was announced as the first celeb to join the next season of the popular show.
“Guess who won’t be holding the coats at the side of the rink anymore!” she wrote, “I am so, SO excited to be joining the cast of @dancingonice.”
“My girls have always wanted me to do this but I’ve always been too scared someone will skate over my fingers!
“Anyway, I want to make them proud and show them I’m up for a challenge when completely out of my comfort zone but most of all, I want a bum like Jlo! ” she added.
The news comes just one week after Myleene announced her engagement to boyfriend Simon Motson.
Neighbour’s star Jason Donovan is another celeb hotly tipped to appear on the hit ice-skating competition, with a source previously telling The Sun: “Jason is a great signing for the show as he has plenty of star power.
“He knows how to dance but if he thinks it’ll be any help once he’s on the ice he has another thing coming.”
“He’s hoping to rank higher in this show than he did on Strictly, he just needs to find out if he can stay upright once he has his skates on,” the insider added.
Dancing On Ice will return to our screens in January on ITV.
