Elton John could be set to make an appearance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

The legendary singer, who was close to Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, has cancelled two Las Vegas dates – which were scheduled the same weekend as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.

Elton was due to play Caesars Palace on 18th and 19th of May, but both dates have been cancelled.

When asked earlier this month if he would attend the nuptials, Elton told The Sun, “I don’t know. I haven’t even been — no one’s been asked. I’m playing in Vegas so I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

It now appears that Elton has cleared his schedule in order to attend the royal wedding, which will take place at Windsor Castle on May 19.

Elton and Harry have worked together for a number of years, highlighting important issues in society and supporting charity. Most recently continuing Diana’s legacy in the support for the fight against AIDS.

The singer recently announced he is set to embark on his last ever live tour in Pennsylvania this September, but it’s not yet known if the legendary songwriter and musical composer will be a guest or a performer at the ceremony, or possibly both.

Elton attended Prince William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, and famously performed his hugely popular ‘Candle In The Wind’ at the funeral of Princess Diana in 1997.
