Drag Race star The Vivienne’s cause of death has been revealed following their sudden passing last month.
The death of James Lee Williams, known professionally as The Vivienne, was confirmed by a spokesperson on 5th January.
The drag artist was the first winner of the hit show, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019.
Now, a post mortem found The Vivienne’s cause of death was “unnatural” but no further information has been given.
They also confirmed the death was not under suspicious circumstances.
The statement confirming James’ death read: “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved James Lee Williams – The Vivienne, has passed this weekend.”
“James was an incredibly loved, warm-hearted and amazing person.”
“Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career.”
“We will not be releasing any further details. We please ask that James’s family are given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve.”
In an update following The Vivienne’s, 32, passing, the Cheshire Police confirmed there were “no suspicious circumstances” surrounding the sudden death.
A spokesperson for the police told The Daily Mail at the time: “Police attended, investigated the circumstances of the death of the 32-year-old man and concluded there were no suspicious circumstances. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
