Dr Alex George pens heartbreaking tribute to his younger brother after funeral

The Love Island star tragically lost his little brother last month

Dr Alex George has penned a heartbreaking tribute to his younger brother Llyr, after he was laid to rest on Monday.

The Love Island star announced the death of his little brother last month, following a battle with his mental health.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Alex wrote: “Yesterday I said goodbye to my little brother Llŷr. It was the hardest day of my life.”

“Except it wasn’t goodbye. Llŷr, your dream was to become a doctor, you will live that dream,” he promised.

“Every patient I see, we will do it together, you and I. Your favorite passion is cars, every time I am out driving, I know you will be there laughing and smiling with me.”

“I love you so much Llŷr, you are always with me, my boy ❤️”

The 30-year-old also thanked everyone who attended the funeral, stating it would have meant so much to his brother.

Alex announced Llyr’s death on June 24th by sharing a photo of him and his younger brother on Instagram.

“I can’t believe I am actually writing this post. I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health,” he captioned the photo.

“I love you so much Llŷr. The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor.”

“We are hurting so bad. No words can explain,” he continued. “As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy.”
