Dani Dyer opens up about the ‘struggle’ of being a single parent – after splitting from Sammy Kimmence

Dani Dyer has opened up about the “struggle” of being a single parent to her son Santiago, after splitting from her jailed ex Sammy Kimmence.

The 25-year-old split from her boyfriend earlier this year, after he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for fraud.

Speaking on her podcast Sorted with the Dyers, which she hosts with her father Danny Dyer, the former Love Island star spoke about the difficulties of raising a baby on your own.

During a chat about parenting, Dani confessed: “I love my little boy so much but when he’s in bed I can have a couple of hours to myself.”

Her father Danny then said: “Let’s have it right, you are doing it, you’re a single parent.”

The reality star replied: “You know what, it’s difficult. If there are two of you in a house you can just go ‘just run a bath or quickly make him a bottle while I’m doing this’.

“But I suppose now It’s a little bit different because I don’t have to worry about dinners. I can have a little salad but if you are in a relationship you’ve got to keep that going.”

“You’ve still got to give them love and attention. But at the end of the day I can just chill and get in bed and be like ‘yeah I’m having a good time now’.”

Dani continued: “But it is difficult, being a parent is difficult. I’m very lucky with the job we do.”

“But there are days that it is difficult because I have to film stuff or do Instagram work and it’s juggling it around.”

“I’m lucky I have you and mummy to look after Santi for me, to help me because I think I really struggle.”

The 25-year-old and her now ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence welcomed their first child, a son named Santiago, in January 2021.
