Dancing On Ice star QUITS the show after testing positive for coronavirus

Rufus Hound has quit Dancing On Ice after testing positive for coronavirus.

The comedian has been missing from the past two shows, after he came into contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

After isolating at home for ten days, the 41-year-old has now tested positive for Covid, and therefore has to leave the popular ice-skating competition.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the ITV show wrote: “We can confirm that following a positive test result, Rufus Hound is unable to return to Dancing On Ice this weekend.”

“Although Rufus and his partner @merobinorjane’s time on the ice has been all too brief, they can be truly proud of their achievements.”

“We thank them for all their hard work and commitment to the show. When the full cast reunite for the series final our hope is Rufus will be able to be back in the studio with everyone.”

Comedian Matt Richardson has been confirmed as Rufus’ replacement, who will be joined by professional skater Vicky Ogden.

On Sunday night’s show, Olympic skater Graham Bell became the second celeb to be voted off the show, after presenter Myleene Klass was eliminated on week one.

Billie Faiers is set to return to the ice on this Sunday’s show, after missing out last week due to the death of her grandmother.
