Curtis Pritchard receives major backlash for ‘misogynistic’ jokes in stand-up comedy routine

Curtis Pritchard has received major backlash for jokes he made in a stand-up comedy routine.

The reality star is taking part in Channel 4’s Stand Up and Deliver charity series, which is set to air later this month.

According to The Sun, the ballroom dancer compared Love Island’s female contestants to dogs and “second-hand cars” in the controversial routine, which has sparked serious online criticism.

The 25-year-old, who appeared on the dating show back in 2019, reportedly compared his time in the villa to his experience working in a dog kennels.

According to the publication, he said: “Looking back now it reminds me of Love Island because when the dogs are in season they go crazy, there was bitches running around left, right and centre.”

“They were trying to ride each other non-stop, it was wild.”

Curtis also allegedly likened the girls coming back from rival villa Casa Amor to “dogs marking their territory”.

Comparing the girls to second-hand cars, the Celebs Go Dating contestant reportedly added: “You’ve got all these different shapes and sizes in front of you, take it for a spin, take it for a test drive and if you don’t like it, you send it back.”

Speaking ahead of his performance, Curtis said: “Comedy’s meant to be edgy, pushing the boundaries and at the end of the day, it’s meant to be just good fun and enjoyment for everyone that’s going to listen.”

Taking to Twitter, many branded Curtis “disgraceful” and “misogynistic” for his jokes.
