Curtis Pritchard has revealed he “cried” while filming the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating, as he discussed his split from Maura Higgins.
The 24-year-old opened up about their breakup during his first therapy session with dating guru’s Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson.
Speaking to The Sun about his first session with the relationship experts, Curtis confessed: “I cried, because I hadn’t spoken to anybody about the Maura situation before.”
“To talk openly and freely was a breath of fresh air. It was nice to be able to speak with people I felt safe talking about it with.”
The emotional scenes will air later this year, when Celebs Go Dating returns to E4.
Curtis and Maura split in March 2020, just seven months after they struck up a romance on the 2019 series of Love Island.
The Irish beauty has since moved on with Chris Taylor, who appeared on the same series.
Curtis said: “I feel betrayed by them both — two people I was very close to. When I saw the pictures, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel hurt.”
“I was upset. How long has this truly been going on for? They said they would never ever be together, and here they are.”
“If I bump into them, I’ll just say congratulations and I hope it really does turn out to be ‘the one’.”
