Coronation Street‘s Faye Brookes and Gareth Gates have split after six years together.
The pair met on the theatre production of Legally Blonde in 2012 and have decided to end their relationship together.
The couple announced that they are still friends, but are “choosing to take some time apart.”

The pair released a joint statement on Twitter which said: Unfortunately @Gareth_Gates/@Faye_Brookes and I are choosing to take some time apart. We remain the very best of friends. We’d like to Thank you for all your support over the years x”
Last year Faye told The Sun: “I’ve found the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with and if he does propose, then it’s going be a complete surprise.”
