Coleen Nolan reveals she got death threats following argument with Kim Woodburn on Loose Women

Coleen Nolan has revealed that she got death threats following her argument with Kim Woodburn on Loose Women.

The regular Loose Women panellist was accused of bullying guest and former Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Kim, on the show in September.

Ofcom received over 7,000 complains about her on-camera argument with the 76-year-old, which resulted in her taking some time out of the chat show.

The mother-of-three has now opened up about her experience and revealed that she left the programme after receiving hateful messages online and death threats online.

“Everything spiralled. I’d ploughed on with work and hadn’t faced up to my divorce. But when the death threats happened it was a catalyst and it all hit me. I needed to get a grip on my life,” she told the Mirror.

“You have to be made of steel to not be affected by hurtful comments. But when people were saying things like, ‘I hope you die of cancer like your sister’, it was time to stop,” she revealed, as her sister, Bernie, died from breast cancer in 2013.

Coleen has since returned to the chat show, after taking a three month break.
