Coleen Nolan got emotional on today’s episode of Loose Women, as she shared heartbreaking details about her sister Linda’s final moments.
The former singer passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 65 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer and complications from double pneumonia.
Just three days after Linda’s funeral, Coleen, 59, returned to the Loose Women panel, where she opened up about her sister’s incredible strength throughout her illness.
Fighting back tears, she said, “Linda battled it for 20 years and never gave up. She hated losing her hair — and it happened four times — but she always kept going.”
Recalling Linda’s last hours, Coleen continued, “Even the day before, she was eating soup and a sandwich, and we were laughing together. But suddenly, she took a turn. When she couldn’t speak anymore but was still breathing, they said she wouldn’t last long.”
“From 2 p.m. that day until 10:30 the next morning, she kept fighting. I thought, ‘She’s not ready; she wants an encore.’ She fought until the very end,” Coleen added.

On Saturday, family and close friends gathered at St. Paul’s Church in Blackpool for Linda’s funeral.
Coleen was joined by her sisters Maureen, 71, Anne, 74, and Denise, 72, as well as her sons Shane Jr., 36, and Jake, 32, who served as pallbearers for their aunt.
Linda passed away at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, entering end-of-life care and eventually slipping into a coma.
While she had secondary breast cancer that had spread to her hip, liver, and brain, it was double pneumonia that claimed her life.

The funeral service took place in the same church where Linda married her husband Brian Hudson in 1981 and later held his funeral after he passed away from skin cancer in 2007.
After the church service, a private ceremony was held at a nearby crematorium, where Linda was laid to rest alongside Brian’s ashes.
Coleen explained the decision to reunite Linda with Brian, telling The Mirror, “In life, they were never apart. I’m glad they’ll be together again.”
