Chris Evans and Spencer Matthews hit out at Piers Morgan following ’emasculated’ Daniel Craig comment

Chris Evans and Spencer Matthews have joined the list of celebrities to hit out at Piers Morgan following his comments regarding an ’emasculated’ Daniel Craig.

The presenter sparked huge controversy during the week when he shared a picture of the James Bond actor holding his newborn in a baby carrier and captioned the picture: “Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond”

Celebrities including Spencer Matthews, Chris Evans and Ross Kemp have now hit out at the 53-year-old for his comments regarding Daniel.

“You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside,” Chris tweeted the presenter.

Hundreds of men have also shared images of themselves holding their children in baby carriers since Piers’ comments emerged.

Spencer mocked the Good Morning Britain host as he shared a picture of himself carrying his son, Theodore, in a baby carrier and tagged Piers in the image.

Meanwhile, Ross Kemp also shared a picture of himself holding a teddy in a carrier on his torso, while he held up a baby’s car seat and a duffle-bag in each hand.

Actor, Tom Ellis, tweeted a picture of himself holding his daughter and wrote: “Hey @piersmorgan, a man carrying their child in an intimate nurturing way is basic dad behavior.”

Although Piers has spent the past twenty-four hours responding to various tweets and pictures sent to him, he has not commented on many of the celebrities’ criticisms.

The presenter did, however, share a picture of himself on the red carpet holding a toy-baby alongside the caption: “On the red carpet tonight.. now THIS is how you hold a baby.”
