Sarah Harding has commented on the ten year age gap between Cheryl and her boyfriend Liam Payne.
The former X Factor judge (33) and One Direction star (23) welcomed their first child last month after getting together in early 2016, but the pair first met when Liam was just 14-years-old.
Liam first auditioned for The X Factor back in 2008, while Cheryl was sitting on the judging panel, and now almost ten years later – the couple have started a family together.
Despite their age gap, Cheryl’s Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding has said that there’s “nothing wrong with a little age gap”.

“Cheryl’s been through a lot so I’m glad she’s got her happy ending with Liam, I don’t know Liam but he seems like a nice guy.
“I know some people were surprised by the age difference but I don’t see what all the fuss is about. There’s nothing wrong with a little age gap. Especially when you get to our age,” she said.
Sarah also revealed that Cheryl has wanted a baby “for years”, and now after two failed marriages to Ashley Cole and Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini – she’s finally become a mother.
“Cheryl’s been broody for years, I think she’s wanted a baby since Kimberley [Walsh] first fell pregnant. Cheryl has achieved a lot in her career but becoming a mum was always her ultimate goal,” she told OK! Magazine.
“Cheryl has always been very maternal, her sister has children and she’s always spoiling them, she just loves being around kids.”
