Cheryl’s ex husband Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini has asked the media to “stop associating” his name with The X Factor.
Yesterday, it was reported that Mel’s B’s estranged husband Stephen Belafonte was enraged by her and Cheryl’s ‘flirty’ banter on the show back in 2014, and sources say that Jean Bernard was also less than impressed with their antics.
However, the French restaurateur has since asked the press not to associate him with the ITV show.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “I would appreciate if the media could stop associating my name with the xfactor circus which is all #fakenews and so 2000 and late.”
Jean Bernard paired his statement with a Jane Austen quote that reads, “I was quiet, but I was not blind.”
The news comes just weeks after Cheryl welcomed her first child with her new boyfriend Liam Payne.
The couple revealed the news on Instagram, alongside a sweet snap of Liam holding their newborn son, who’s name is yet to be revealed.
