Cheryl and Oti Mabuse HIT BACK at claims they ‘clashed’ on set of The Greatest Dancer

Cheryl and Oti Mabuse have hit back at claims that they “clashed” on the set of The Greatest Dancer.

Just as Cheryl moved past the negativity she received at the start of her comeback, the singer was quickly hit with more claims of acting like a “diva” backstage.

The 35-year-old is set to star as a ‘dance captain’ on the highly-anticipated competition, and will be joined by Glee’s Matthew Morrison and Strictly’s Oti Mabuse on the programme.

Although it was rumoured that Cheryl does not get on well with Oti, the singer’s rep has hit out at the claims and told the Standard Online: “It’s a fabricated story – yet again trying to pit female against female on a TV show. It’s a shame we haven’t moved past this.”

“Cheryl absolutely loves working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her.”

Meanwhile, the Strictly dancer was also forced to respond to the claims, as she took to Instagram to say: “Imagine a world where two women work together with love, support and nothing but sisterhood… THERE ABSOLUTELY NO TENSION between @cherylofficial and myself.”

“This beautiful woman has been nothing but caring, accepting and guiding towards me, she’s funny, smart and honest. @cherylofficial sis you’re an absolute QUEEN I love you dearly and cannot wait to work with you,” the professional dancer continued.

“If anything I feel privileged and honoured to even be picked to share the same panel as you,” Oti finished.

The Sun previously reported that the pair didn’t get on, as they were arguing about “dance credentials”; but it seems like both of the women have quickly shut down any negative rumours about their friendship.

The Greatest Dancer is set to air on BBC One on 5th January 2019, at 8pm.
