Caroline Flack’s former manager Nathan Charles Smith has paid tribute to “the queen of Love Island” as the popular show returned to our screens.

The popular presenter, who hosted the dating show for the first five seasons, was found dead at her home in London on February 15 last year after taking her own life.

Following the return of the show on Monday night, Nathan took to his Instagram Stories to remember the late star.

He shared one snap of Caroline smiling in-front of a billboard with her face on it, as well as a photo of the pair on a Love Island themed plane.

Nathan also shared a promo photo of the former Love Island host posing in front of a swimming pool.

He captioned the post: “You’ll always be the queen of ❤️🏝”

Laura Whitmore took over Caroline’s hosting role on Love Island last year, after the presenter was forced to step down following her assault arrest.

Months later, Caroline tragically took her own life, and was found dead at her flat in London on February 15, 2020.

Ahead of the new season of Love Island, Laura wrote on Instagram: “I think we’re all ready for some love! Ahhhhhh! So excited to watch the new islanders.”

“Hope you enjoy talking about them and following their journey and just a reminder to treat them with love, compassion and respect when they leave the show and go back to real life.”

“Caroline I hope we do you proud. One week to go ❤️
