Bryan Adams addresses long-running romance rumours with Princess Diana.
The singer played ‘Plead The Fifth’ when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and the host quizzed him about his relationship with the royal.
He had the option to refuse to answer any of the prying presenter’s question but was forthcoming with answers to all of Cohen’s inquiries.
“There are many rumours that you and Princess Diana were once romantically involved,” Andy stated.
“Her butler said that he used to sneak you into Kensington Palace. How would you characterize your relationship with Princess Diana?”
Adams replied that they were, “Great friends, and she didn’t sneak me in, I would just roll up.”
The TV presenter queried as to whether they were “friends with benefits” and Adams answered, “She was just… we were good friends.”
The 58-year-old also revealed that he gifted Elton John a “d**k pic” for his 42nd birthday, which the star later framed!
“That was the first and only time,” he sent one Adams claimed, adding that, ‘It was an arty picture.’
“When I gave it to him he said, ‘I’m going to change that frame.’ Now it’s in gold, I think it’s on his mantelpiece.”
