Biggs Chris apologises to Rebecca Gormley after ex shares texts of him labelling the relationship ‘fake’

Biggs Chris has apologised to Rebecca Gormley after his ex shared screenshots of him labelling their relationship “fake”.

Lori Matthews, who dated the Love Island star prior to his stint in the villa in January, uploaded a video to TikTok accusing the 27-year-old of faking his relationship with Rebecca for publicity.

She wrote: “Think you can hurt my feelings? My ex convinced me to support him going on Love Island..then left me after to get with another islander.”

The makeup artist added photographs of her with Biggs, before uploading screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation – where he said the relationship with Rebecca was “for the public”.

In one message, Biggs wrote: “It’s about my life now and how this year I wanna grow am telling you me and Rebecca won’t be a thing if your not happy that this is fake.”

Responding to the video on his Instagram Story, Biggs said: “I just want to address this madness. It’s so sad it’s happening now because I’m at my happiest. My family’s never seen me this happy.

“Even though I hate admitting it, I must say, but this is the happiest I’ve ever been so for this to creep up… So my mum said she’s not surprised this is happening. She’s not surprised it’s happening,” clarifying, “The negativity. Like, when others see others being happy, they just wanna tear that down.

“We did not plan this. I didn’t think,” he addressed Rebecca, “I’ve always fancied you and everything – but I did not think this was gonna happen.”

Biggs addressed the video on his Instagram Stories

“I left the villa by myself, she left with Jordan. And then for us to find each other outside the villa, you get me.

“So I just wanted to say I’m sorry, you get me, I’m sorry,” he apologised to Rebecca.

Responding to her boyfriend, Rebecca said: “I get it, you’re just trying… I don’t know. Like I’m not bothered but, obviously I appreciate your apology but I’m not bothered.”

Chris added: “I apologise for any mistake I’ve made. I don’t want to talk too much, it’s a madness. I just wanna apologise and keep it moving.”
