Ashley Cain shows off his two new tattoos dedicated to his late daughter Azaylia: ‘My hero’

Ashley Cain has shown off his two new tattoos dedicated to his late daughter Azaylia.

The Ex on the Beach star’s eight-month-old baby sadly passed away on April 24, following a battle with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday morning, the 30-year-old shared black-and-white photos of his latest ink – a lion tattoo and Azaylia’s name on his neck.

He wrote: “Tribute to my Hero. 👼🏼 I wanted to get this Lion tattoo to convey the strength, power, bravery and courage of Azaylia and hope that some of these qualities that she possessed in abundance, may also be passed down to me, on my journey through suffering.”

“To stand tall, proud and be a fearless individual overcoming all challenges now in my path, through strength and courage. 🙏🏾”

“I wanted to get her name because I am overwhelmingly proud that she is my daughter and truly honoured that I was privileged enough to be her father. So that everyone that sees me, will ask who is Azaylia, speak her name and find out how amazing she was. 🧡”

“I got told yesterday that Azaylia’s birthday falls on World Lions Day which I couldn’t believe, but also is no coincidence. 🦁 I love you beyond words and miss you so much. 💔,” he added.

It comes after Ashley hit back at trolls who claimed he spent his late daughter’s fundraising money on designer products and supercars.

The reality star set up a GoFundMe page back in March to fund treatment for baby girl Azaylia amid her leukemia battle – raising over £1million just hours after the fundraiser was launched.

Following Azaylia’s death, Ashley and his partner Safiyya revealed they would be using the money to set up a children’s cancer charity in honour of Azaylia.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, the 30-year-old shared a screenshot of a comment asking why he hadn’t returned the fundraising money “despite driving supercars continuously and always having designer products”.

The reality star replied: “I actually got rid of my car to support me and my family through extra outgoings being in hospital. And I haven’t been driving round in any super cars as I’ve been too busy taking care of my daughter and recently mourning her passing.”

“We don’t have any access to the money raised until the foundation is set up, so it can be used to help children and families who have to go through this traumatic time.”

“I am going through the most difficult time in my life, something that no one should have to go through and my only strength is in trying to do something good in this world and to make my daughter proud.”

Ashley continued: “I shouldn’t have to explain myself when I have nothing but good intentions, but as I speak and act from the heart I don’t have any trouble not deleting your comment and addressing you directly.”

“And for all my clothes you mentioned, I have actually cleared my whole house and garage and donating my clothes to a refuge for people that don’t have any. As long as I have enough fresh items to wear all week, that’s all I’m worried about.”

In a series of videos, Ashley said: “There is a very very small percentage of people that seem to have some form of hate or bitterness towards me and my situation and I don’t understand how you could be envious towards me and my situation because I’ve lost something that means more to me than my life itself.”

“I actually got rid of my car during Azalyia’s fight just so we had enough money to support ourselves and just incase anything happened,” he explained.

“We weren’t working at the time either because we wanted to dedicate full time to our daughter and her needs. I still am not working now because I want to dedicate my time into building this amazing foundation to help these children.”

“We have no access to the funds until the charity is set up. We declared this publicly and to GoFundMe themselves so it was transparent to everybody that we couldn’t use the money for any personal gains.”

“This money is solely to raise awareness for childhood cancer and for life saving treatments for these poorly children.”
