Ashley Cain has rushed his baby daughter Azaylia back to hospital.
The Ex On The Beach star took his eight-month-old baby home from the hospital on Friday, after being told she may only have a few days left to live amid her battle with a “rare and aggressive” form of leukemia.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Sunday night, the 30-year-old explained: “So we’re just on our way back from the hospital. Rushed Azaylia in tonight on oxygen because she’d been bleeding out from the nose.”
“She’s got tumours in her head and as well as her organs. And because of her blood cancer it means that it eats away at the cells that help clot the blood.”
“So with the tumours plus the lack of platelets in her body, that means that she would bleed out from the inside. That’s why her nose was bleeding.”
Ashley continued: “That’s no way for Azaylia to go. Especially as she’s been so lively and happy today so we knew what we needed and it was a platelet transfusion.”
“If that can preserve us for another day, another two days, another three days – every day is a blessing at the moment,” he added.
Sharing a photo of Azaylia, Ashley wrote: “It’s been an incredibly intense time, but we’re now home safe.”
“We now pray for a good nights rest for our princess and another day blessed with her presence. #LetsGoChamp.”
Azaylia was diagnosed with a “rare and aggressive” form of leukemia in October, just two months after she was born.
Despite undergoing extensive treatment including chemotherapy, doctors have now found tumours in her stomach, spleen, lungs and kidneys, as well as the tumours in her brain – and she is now at home with her parents Ashley and Safiyya.
