Ariana Grande hits out at Piers Morgan over his comments about Little Mix’s nude photo

Ariana Grande hit out at Piers Morgan over his comments about Little Mix’s nude photo.

The presenter sparked huge controversy last week when he claimed that the girlband’s nude snap was photoshopped and that they shared the image just to promote their new album.

Although Little Mix hit back at the 53-year-old themselves, the group received a lot of support from fans, and now Ariana has also chimed in on the controversy.

The 25-year-old’s mother, Joan, sparked Ariana’s comments, as Piers had also hit out at Ellen DeGeneres for showing pictures of ‘handsome men’ on her show and Joan told the father-of-four: “Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!”

In response to the mother-of-two, Piers dragged Ariana into the debate, as he tweeted: “Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion. Ellen’s a hypocrite – and as for Little Mix, I’d just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does…!”

The singer quickly responded to the presenter’s comments about her, as she stood up for Ellen and even quoted her own hit ‘Thank u, next’: “Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to.”

“Women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next.”

Ariana then tweeted Little Mix as she said: “keep fighting the fight divas @LittleMix your sisters have your back”.

The former Nickelodeon star then slammed Piers again and accused him of just trying to make himself relevant by hitting out at female music artists.

“Also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it.”

Little Mix thanked Ariana for her support and spoke about women supporting women, as they tweeted: “thank you. what we do with our bodies is our choice and we felt liberated owning the negative words thrown at us as women. We’ll never stop talking/writing music about issues that affect so many women around the world. We have a voice to use it! we love you Ari. the girls x”
