Ant McPartlin’s estranged wife Lisa Armstrong breaks silence after his arrest

Ant McPartlin’s estranged wife Lisa Armstrong has broken her silence, after he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving on Sunday. 

The make-up artist, whose marriage to Ant crumbled after his first visit to rehab last year, said she wasn’t “interested” when asked to comment on his arrest over the weekend.

According to the Daily Mirror, Lisa said, “I’m sorry I’m not interested,” when she was asked whether she would discuss the incident, which the police are now investigating.

Lisa spoke over the intercom of the her home in Chiswick, west London, which she used to share with Ant before their split.

Meanwhile, there was no answer from the intercom at the home of Ant’s co-host Declan Donnelly, who lives in a house just two doors away.

Neighbours in the area also refused to comment.

However, one of Ant’s neighbours said, “I just heard it on the radio, it’s very sad.”

Since his arrest, Ant has confirmed that he will be stepping away from all his TV projects to return to rehab.
