Ant McPartlin will start filming ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ this week, after stepping down from all his TV commitments last year.

The 43-year-old took the year off to recover, after he pleaded guilty to drink driving in April 2018.

The editor of the show, Richard Arnold, revealed the news on Good Morning Britain by saying, “I can officially announce that after a year off Ant will start filming on the new series of ‘BGT’.”

“They’re reuniting on Friday for the auditions of course, getting underway in London on Friday before the rest of the BGT continue their search for talent next month.”

Dec revealed last month that Britain’s Got Talent would be ‘back to normal’ this year, confirming the return of his co-host Ant – after Dec hosted the final alone last year.

He told the Mirror: “It’s back to normal for BGT – fingers crossed it will be great.”

Ant stepped down from all of his TV appearances including his regular gig on ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’.

The presenter was replaced by Holly Willoughby, but it was made very clear that it was a ‘once off’ and that Ant will be back for the next series.
