Meanwhile, Ant’s long-time co-host Declan Donnelly is set to host the last two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway without him.

In a statement, Dec said, “Whilst I never thought I’d be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we’ve decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.”

Ant’s drink-driving arrest came as a shock to fans, as the presenter appeared to have recovered well after entering rehab last year.

Now, fans are largely blaming Ant’s speedy return to work, as he was back on our screens in November hosting I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!.

The telly host has also been dealing with his his very public split from wife Lisa Armstrong, who he was married to for 11 years.
