Amber Davies says new Love Islanders are ‘signing up for fame’

Former Love Island winner Amber Davies has shared her opinion on the motives of the new Love Island contestants.

Amber won the series back in 2017 with ex-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, and sat down on the Lorraine Show this morning, ahead of the new season launching tonight.

“When you went in it was still quite new, people were going in there looking for love,” Lorraine asked.”Now though, are they not going in looking for fame?”

“I think it’s inevitable,” Amber replied.

“Now they know exactly what they’re going in, and they know exactly what’s going to happen when they come out.”

“They’re signing up for fame. We necessarily didn’t sign up for fame, we didn’t.”

“So this year I think they know what they’re going in there to do, they know what kind of money they’re going to be coming out to,” she continued.

“You do sign up for it yourself, you do know what you’re signing up for, no-one’s holding a gun to your head.”

The new series kicks off tonight, with the villa residents having already been introduced to the public.

Participants include Irish scientist Yewande Biala, and Curtis Pritchard, who is a pro dancer on Ireland’s version of Dancing With The Stars.
