Adele’s longtime friend and songwriter Ryan Tedder has revealed that her split from husband Simon Konecki was “very difficult”.
The One Republic frontman gave fans an update on how Adele is doing, following the breakdown of her marriage.
He told Us Weekly:Â “I see her quite frequently. I think she’s in a good place. It was very difficult… but she is in a good place, for sure.”
Adele shares her six-year-old son Angelo with Simon, and the couple split after three years of marriage.
In a statement last month, the singer’s rep said: “Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
Over the weekend, Adele admitted that the last year has been “complicated”, as she celebrated her 31st birthday.
In an emotional post, she wrote: This is 31…thank f***ing God 30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all.”
“No matter how long we’re here for life is constant and complicated at times. I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay.”
