A winter version of Love Island could be on it’s way

Rumours are rampant that a winter version of Love Island is in the works – and we couldn’t be happier.

The hugely popular ITV show already has viewers in the UK and Ireland hooked – and now we could be getting even more love triangles on our screens.

According to The Sun, a winter version of the show is in talks – with the aim of shooting the series in South Arfrica.

Survival of The Fittest had taken up the winter time slot, but didn’t do well in the ratings war last year and was dropped.

Now ITV bosses want a second Love Island instead.

“‘Winter Love Island makes sense as fans adore the drama and love triangles and everyone wants to enjoy a bit of sun on screen in the cold winter months,” a source told the publication.

“It’s still in the very early stages and casting isn’t even close, but producers at ITV studios and crew are definitely gearing up for it.”
