You won’t BELIEVE how many people tuned in to watch Greg and Amber win Love Island

It looks like a lot of people had Love Island fever this year!

Over 3.6 million people tuned in to watch Limerick lad Greg O’Shea and Geordie beauty Amber Gill win Love Island on ITV2 on Monday night.

According to the broadcaster, a further 400,000 people also streamed the episode on non-TV devices, like phones and tablets.

Meanwhile in Ireland, over 653,000 viewers watched the live Love Island final on Virgin Media Two.

The show’s fifth series came to an end on Virgin Media Two with an average of 372,000 people viewing the episode, and the episode is currently tracking at 653,000 views across all platforms.

These figures made last night’s Love Island final the most watched episode of the series ever.

On Monday night, relatively new couple Greg and Amber were crowned the winners in a shock result, as they beat show favourites Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

The news comes after ITV announced their plans to air TWO seasons of Love Island next year, due to the show’s growing popularity.
