X Factor's Orla Keogh vows to keep pursuing dream – after Cheryl cruelly dumps her

X Factor star Orla Keogh has claimed “everything happens for a reason” after being dumped from the TV series.

The Dublin singer was controversially booted from the show by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini as part of the cruel six chair challenge.

The 20-year-old thought she had made it to judges houses – before the Girls Aloud star brought back Chloe Jasmine Whichello in a last-minute decision to swap her in.

But speaking this evening, the blue-haired DCU student insisted that she will still make it in the music industry.

She said: “I truly believe everything happens for a reason, I still hope that one day I’ll achieve my dreams, maybe I’m just taking the scenic route.”

Recently Orla insisted she was lucky just to be part of the experience.

“I had so much fun and met so many incredible people though and I’m really happy I got to experience it,” she said.
