My Shirley Valentine Summer is a new show being filmed in Greece that might be the next hit TV show.
The programme will see women over 40 years of age sunning themselves in idyllic Grecian surroundings as enjoy a summer of adventure and potentially pick up a partner as they foray into the local dating scene.
Melinda Messenger, Lizzy Cundy and Sian Lloyd are among the celebrities already lined up to take part in the inaugural series.
Apparently, there’ll be less strutting around in bikinis and more wisdom than Love Island… Wouldn’t be hard.
A source told The Sun, “This is about a group of world-wise women who are just looking for some kind of epiphany.”
“If that comes in the form of a man then that’s a bonus.”
Other names on board include Nancy Dell’Olio, Annabel Giles, Aggie McKenzie, Chris Tarrant’s ex-wife Ingrid and Ninia Benjami.
The show is being made for ITV and may fill the Love Islan shaped hole that will be left in our lives when that wraps up.
