The CW have released an explosive new trailer for the upcoming season of Riverdale.
From the teaser, it looks like the show’s third season will pick up where we left off as Archie Andrew (KJ Apa) is seen being transported to prison, after being framed by his girlfriend’s father Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos).
In another scene, it looks like Archie is being beaten up by guards, and he appears to get a Southside Serpents tattoo.
Other shocking scenes from the 42 second teaser include Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick) and F.P. Jones (Skeet Ulrich) looking seriously loved-up in bed together – which is sure to complicate Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead Jones’ (Cole Sprouse) relationship.
The clip also teases some touching moments between some of the show’s fan-favorite couples, including Archie and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Betty and Jughead, Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan), and Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) and Moose Mason (Cody Kearsley).
As well as that, the trailer teases the rising threat of “The Farm”, which the cast have already referred to as a “cult”.
The season three premiere of Riverdale, which is titled ‘Labor Day’, will debut on Wednesday, October 10th, in the US.
As per The CW’s agreement with Netflix, the episode will be available to watch on the streaming site on Thursday, October 12th.
