We've finally got a first glimpse of Robin Wright as the lead character

The first teaser trailer for House of Cards Season 6 has been released.

Season 6 will be the final season for the hit Netflix Series and sees Robin Wright taking the reins from Kevin Spacey as the lead actor.

Kevin Spacey was dropped from the show following sexual assault allegations were made against him in October last year.

The shows producer took the decision to kill of lead character Frank underwood.

The teaser trailer showing his wife Clair Underwood (Robin Wright) standing over her husband’s grave, taunting him, and speaking directly to camera as Frank did in the opening five seasons of the show.

Spacey and Wright played a ruthless husband-and-wife and their journey through politics.

The show launched in 2013 and saw huge success with Kevin Spacey was even becoming an executive producer on the show.

According to the Hollywood reporter, the script for season 6 for the show had already been written, when allegations against the 59-year-old were made public accusing him of sexual assault.

The show halted production until early 2018 in order to write out Spacey’s character and rework the season to revolve around Wright’s Claire.

Wright was elevated, both on and offscreen, to the starring role, she is also returning to the director’s chair for the finale.

The final season was intended to run for 13 episodes, but will now feature eight.
