At the time of Cary’s treatment with Dr. Leary, using LSD to treat patients was common practice for psychologists before The Beatles had even formed.

The show will also feature other celebrities known world-wide for some of the most outrageous reportedly true stories – such as Michael Jackson’s road trip with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando they allegedly took back to the West Coast of America following 9/11.

Sky came under fire for lack of diversity last year when they announced that British actor Joseph Fiennes was cast as the controversial pop-star.

However, Joesph defended the company and told Entertainment Tonight, “[Michael] definitely had an issue – a pigmentation issue – and that’s something I do believe. He was probably closer to my colour than his original colour.”

Urban Myths airs on Sky Arts on January 19th 2017.
