Co-presenter Eoghan McDermott told Goss.ie that producers tried to splash the cash for the Rockabilly singer.

They had hoped that she would be able to take over Dolores O’Riordan’s slot – after she quit due to her commute between Ireland and Canada.

“I know they were totally dying to get Imelda May but I am not sure that will happen. In fact I am pretty sure it won’t happen because she is so busy,” Eoghan revealed.
