Alessia Macari was crowned the winner of Big Brother Italy last night.
The 23-year-old, who is the cousin of Dublin Wives star and swimwear designer Virginia Macari, was named the winner of the Italian reality show after she was heavily tipped to take home the crown.
The model grew up in Ireland, but maintains a strong connection to her Italian roots as she regularly spent the summer in her family’s homeland when she was growing up.
Alessia was well-known amongst Italian TV audiences before entering the Big Brother house in September, as she was selected to star in Italian nightly quiz show, Avanti Un Altro, after being discovered at a local beauty pageant in 2013.
Alessia’s family are best known for owning the famed Macari chipper empire in Ireland.
The brunette beauty is also the ex-girlfriend of Republic of Ireland and Newcastle footballer Ciaran Clarke, who she dated briefly when she was 18-years-old.
