Ireland AM host Mark Cagey has shot down rumours he was pulled of air after a cancer scare.
The TV star also insisted he didn’t have a heart attack – as he returns to the show after a three month break.
And the 58-year-old admitted he was shocked when he heard the rumours about his health.

“People thought I had another heart attack, which is ironic because I never had one in the first place,” he said. “Others came up to me and asked if I had cancer.”
Instead Mark insisted he had to have surgery for his back after being involved in a hit and run 39-years ago.
The Cork presenter was hit by a man running for a bus, who pushed him into the middle of the road.

He added: “A car that had broken a red light, hit me, threw me into the air and kept driving.”
It came as Mark was back at work as Ireland AM unveiled their new set – and he insisted the show is to TV3 what the Late Late Show is to RTE.
“We’ve been on the air for 15 years, five days a week, for three hours every day,” he told the Star.
“That’s more flying hours than Gay Byrne, Pat Kenny and Ryan Tubridy put together.
