TV3 set to cast Mr World Karl Bowe as new soap opera's leading man

TV3 are set to cast Mrs Ireland Karl Bowe in a leading role for their new soap opera.

The Dubliner – who was originally in a boyband before winning the Mr Ireland contest – is in talks to appear in Red Rock.

Bosses are hoping the 25-year-old would give the show a massive boost, especially because of his good looks.

“Things are looking very busy for him at the moment. He’s just come back from competing in the Mr World 2014 in the UK and although he didn’t win he made some great contacts,” a source told the Herald.

“Also he’s doing a lot of corporate stuff and various other gigs, but acting is his passion and he’s in discussions with the producers of Red Rock.”

Recently, Karl has bagged roles in Jennifer Maguire’s The Clinic on RTE and a small part in Penny Dreadful.
