Broadcasters TV3 have revealed they have got rid of the Irish version of Family Fortunes with Alan Hughes.
The station had made 25 episodes of the show, however buying the license from UK company Freemantle MEdia costs betwen €5,000 and €10,000 an episode.
Last night TV3 admitted the show is gone.
According to The Irish Sun:
“When contacted for comment, TV3 said Family Fortunes had not been renewed as the station was concentrating on its own original formats.
No more: Family Fortunes has not been renewed | TV3
“Such as The Lie, which returns for a second series this October and Sitting on a Fortune which will be premiering next month.”
More quiz shows are set to be filmed in TV3’s snazzy Sony HD studios.
