This popular Netflix series has reportedly been AXED after just one season

Fans will be devastated

Netflix’s popular drama White Lines has reportedly been axed after just one season.

Angela Griffin, who played sex-party organiser Anna in the series, has revealed there’s no plans for the show to return for second season.

According to The Sun, the actress made the revelation during an online Q&A for Theatre Royal Haymarket.

When asked about the future of White Lines, Angela reportedly said: “Will there be a series two of White Lines? I don’t think so. I wish there was but it’s very quiet on the White Lines hotline.”

“My gut feeling is that it was left in a place where it is nicely tied up. I think that is where it is going to stay. Sorry to say.”

White Lines was created by Money Heist showrunner Álex Pina, and the first season follows Zoe Collins (Laura Haddock), as she heads to Ibiza to discover the truth about her DJ brother Axel (Tom Rhys Harries), after he is found dead having been missing for 20 years.

The news comes just two months after White Lines star Daniel Mays said there was “definitely potential” for the series to return for a second season.

“It’s brilliantly left open, especially for Marcus, my character,” Daniel told Digital Spy. “I think the last scene is him wanting to take over the drug operation from the Calafat family.”

“There’s many, many loose ends that need to be tied up. I think there’s definitely potential for the younger actors to still come back, because you could argue that there’s, you know, the lost years.”

“There’s lost flashbacks that we haven’t addressed yet,” he added.
