Bridgerton is officially the most watched show on Netflix ever.
The first season, which followed Dalphne Bridgerton and The Duke of Hastings love story, joined Netflix on December 25 last year.
Speaking at Vox Media’s Code Conference on Monday afternoon, the co-CEO of Netflix Ted Sarandos revealed the period drama had 625 million hours of viewing within its first four weeks of release.
The streaming giant also said their data suggests those who tuned in for the first episode continued on watching the entire series.
Netflix had previously disclosed that 82 million accounts had viewed the series.
The highly anticipated second season will land on the platform in 2022 but unfortunately, heartthrob Regé-Jean Page will not be back to reprise his role as The Duke of Hastings.
Instead, the second season will focus on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), and his romance with new character Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington in the series, recently teased that season two would be “a lot spicier” than season one of the show.
