The singer will also be joined by his band The Boomtown Rats to give an extra special performance to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
Bringing mayhem to the RTE studio will be Pantomime dame Lolly Polly, aka Al Porter as Holly Brockwell, who went public about doctors’ refusal to sterilise her despite her emphatic desire not to have children, talks to Ryan.
Performances on the night include Dubliner Gavin James joins and crooner Daniel O’Donnell.
