The actress set to play Princess Diana in the new seasons of The Crown has finally been revealed.
Elizabeth Debicki, who is best known for her roles in The Great Gatsby and The Night Manager has officially been cast in the role.
Elizabeth, 29, is the same age the princess was in 1990, the year that the drama picks up, and it is being reported that the two seasons will also cover Diana’s tragic death in Paris in 1997.
“Princess Diana’s spirit, her words and her actions live in the hearts of so many,” Elizabeth said of the announcement.

Elizabeth beat off some stiff competition for the role, as she was up reportedly up against Florence Pugh, 24, Saoirse Ronan and Sophie Turner.
Season 4 of the popular series will be released on Netflix this autumn.
