Talking about the show, the Dubliner revealed that she’s excited to have a voice to show people the real her.

“I’m ready for this. I feel like I’ve been a bit mute so I’m excited to show off who I am rather than what I am,” she told The Irish Sun.

“It’s exciting to have a voice and if anyone has an idea or assumption about me, it will be nice to break it down.”

Thalia also admitted that she wants to prove that she’s not a “brain-dead model” competing on the show.

“I’m a normal 21-year-old girl, I just happen to have had a career from early on. That said, I hope people will like me!

“There are assumptions that people make about models —that I’m braindead or other model stereotypes.

“I go to rehearsals every day with no make-up. I’m showing people the real me.— It’s scary, but I hope people watching will appreciate that,” she added.

Dancing With The Stars airs tonight from 6.30pm on RTE 1.
