The release date for the third season of Stranger Things has been delayed.
Fans were hoping for the new season this Halloween, but the release date has been pushed back by nearly a year.
When asked why the release date was pushed back at the Television Critics Association, Netflix’s Vice President of Original Content, Cindy Holland, said, “They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year.”
“And so, they really want to take the time to get it right. I think it’s gonna be a fantastic season, it’s gonna be worth the wait.”
The last season of Stranger Things was released at Halloween, so fans were speculating that the third season would be released at the same time this year.
Netflix released a teaser for the new season earlier this month – which hinted that it wouldn’t come out until summer 2019, but fans didn’t accept the hint and were still shocked by the news.
