Sky News star Jacquie Beltrao to return to work after cancer treatment

Sky News host Jacquie Beltrao is returning to work tomorrow – the first time since treatment for breast cancer.

The Dublin-born star said she is feeling “stronger ever day” since undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy.

The 49-year-old – who is seen on Sunrise alongside alongside Eamonn Holmes – has been off air for six months as a result of her illness but will now be back to cover Wimbledon.

“I feel so lucky to be returning to work at Wimbledon, my favourite sports event of the year,” she said.

Interview: Jacqui has already chatted to Andy Murray

“I feel stronger every day post chemo and I’m sure the adrenaline of being back live on Sky will carry me through a busy but exciting fortnight.

“When I’m back at work I’ll know that I’m finally out the other side of this ordeal.”

Already she has performed a number of pre-recorded segments, including an interview with Andy Murray.

The London-based presenter told fans of her diagnosis online on New Year’s Eve after undergoing a mammogram on Christmas Eve.
