Sky News presenter Jacqui Beltrao has revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer on Christmas Eve.
The Dubliner told fans on Twitter that it has stopped her from posting online for nearly a month.
She said: “Been neglecting my Twitter had a bit of a wobbly time of it – diagnosed with breast cancer on Xmas Eve – all positive thoughts welcome!”
The 48-year-old was sent a number of supportive messages from pals and well-wishers who insisted she was strong enough to beat the cancer.
The Clontarf mum-of-three moved to the UK as a youngster and represented Britain in gymnastics.
However Jacqui – who presents alongside Eamonn Holmes on Sunrise – still sees herself as being Irish and supports the Boys in Green.
