Ryan Tubridy opens up about Toy Show nerves

Ryan Tubridy has revealed that he feels “pressure” in the lead up to The Late Late Toy Show that will air live tomorrow evening on RTÉ One.

The broadcaster will mark the start of the festive season with the Toy Show that is set to be bigger and better than ever, but he has admit that he does feel under pressure as he’s essentially the ‘Father Christmas’ of telly.

When asked if he was nervous by Tracy Clifford on 2FM, he got candid about how he’s feeling in the run up to tomorrow night’s show.

“I’ll come along on Friday night, that’s tomorrow obviously, and start the Christmas thing – that’s a lot of pressure you’ve put on me by saying you know ‘you’re the start of Christmas’.”

“Jeepers, my nerves are gone now,” he said on The Tracy Clifford Show on 2FM.

When asked about the preparation for his infamous dancing during the show, he admitted that he has had dance lessons, but ‘doesn’t particularly enjoy it’.

“That’s true, that’s true. There were dance classes.

“It’s funny, dancing – not only is it hard but when you’re gangly its unpleasant. I don’t enjoy it at all… look I am not Billy Elliot,” he added.
